Today's Letters Inspired Tuesday

Today's Letters: Dear Mr. Sicky, it is on a very rare occasion that you get sick and I don't. Here is to a few of grilled cheese/tomato soup eating, gatorade drinking, Price is Right watching days of you resting up and getting better. Dear Rob Dyrdek, to put it lightly, my husband loves you and may have a slight mancrush on you. Not because you have this ridiculously cool factory where you do freakin awesome things, not because your filthy rich and spend it however you please, but because he thinks you would be a genuinely 'cool dude' and friend. Dear anxiety, you've been quite under control lately which is particularly out of character for you, however I'm not complaining, I'm thankful. Dear Snuffleupagus [that nickname may stick] I love you more than Rob loves Big Black, Paula Dean loves butter, and the entire cast of 'The Hills' love drama - I'm pretty sure you should be feeling a LOT of love right now.

Does your husband have a mancrush? bromance? [Bryan's gonna hate me for saying that LOL]  basically a celebrity that he wishes he knew?

PS - See the inspiration for this post - I love the Loerke's

Happy Tuesday friends!

the way I see it

The way I see it
there's no other place I'd rather be recuperating than at home surrounded by a couple of my favorite things.

Hope you all are having a great evening and are surrounded by things you love.
And maybe watching Glee in a half hour if you're a Gleek like us :)

Today's Letters Inspired Tuesday

Today's Letters: Dear Bryan, this weekend was full of, well, a LOT! We had our first bonfire in our fire pit, enjoyed two sunny days in a row, and attended our first hockey game together. Love you more than seeing the hockey players get into fights! Dear food poisoning, I really don't appreciate your springing up on me in the middle of the night on Sunday, and I really don't appreciate your staying for as long as you have. Please evacuate ASAP. I feel like Emily on 'The Devil Wears Prada' when she says, "I'm just a stomach flu away from my goal weight." I've lost almost ten pounds since yesterday. Dear said hockey players of the Seattle Thunderbirds, I had NO idea things got that out of hand! My idea of hockey is from watching 'The Mighty Ducks' not seeing you check each other up against the plexi-glass, holy cow! Dear husband, thank you for holding me last night until I fell asleep, when I get anxiety attacks it's really hard to make them go away, but knowing that you kept your arm around me until I slipped into sleepy-land made it a little easier. I love you.

Have you ever had food poisoning? Please pray for me, I contracted [what I think is food poisoning] on Sunday night and have been in pain since :( First the flu now this? I just want a break!

PS - please see inspiration for this post HERE - they're pretty cool.

PSS - speaking of anxiety, that will be my 'Let's talk about it' post tomorrow, make sure you check back.

I'm BAAACK!

GOOD MORNING BLOGGING WORLD!
Ahhhhhh yes, it feels good to be back, I may still be hacking up a lung, but I feel 100x better!

I wanted to update you all on my Papa, he's doing better, they had to rehyrdrate him in the hospital and the next day as well, but he is home with my Granny now :) Thank you all SO incredibly much for your prayers, it made my heart burst.

In case you didn't see my Hot Sweaty Mess post, here's a recap:
Tuesday night: came home with a low grade fever
Wednesday morning: woke up with a 101.4 fever - went to the doctor, he diagnosed me with the flu and put me on Tamiflu and an inhaler for chest tightness
Wednesday evening: woke up after taking a nap with a 103.1 fever - highest fever I have ever remembered having in my life, I was so scared. I jumped in a tempid bath, took some more ibuprofen and sweated it out.
Thursday & Friday: Struggled with a fever in the low 100's and started coughing, like bad, like so hard I felt like I was going to throw up
Saturday: Felt like I was getting worse so I went to urgent care in the afternoon - the doctor there put me on cough syrup (with coediene - the good stuff) and prednizone (to help with the swelling in my throat)

So, how am I now?
Five days, four prescriptions, three days of eating nothing but soup and saltines, two doctor's visits & a partridge in a pear tree later, and I am doing MUCH better, still have a yucky cough, but it's under control. Still taking it easy though.

Which brings me to our MOVE!
I never thought it would happen, and it finally did. It went off with a few miniscule hitches, but other than that, I have to brag on my family a little before I share some photos. Bryan, & his step-dad, mom and sister loaded up 3 cars, a truck and a trailer full of our stuff, from one home to the other in a matter of hours and my mom and sister came and cleaned our apartment from top to bottom - we have an AMAZING family. Just sayin.
Ok, now I will try to get more pictures soon, but these are a few I took on my phone right after we got things moved in:
view from our backyard
my personal favorite feature of the house
just imagine candles everywhere!
yessss :)
the kitchen - and Harley
breakfast nook :)
view from our front room

Ahhhh, it feels SO good to finally be DONE with apartment living. However,  I have to say that the apartment's we've lived in have been good to us, and for that I am grateful :)

I can't wait to catch up on your blogs and see what's been going on in your lives! I've missed you! Thank you again for all your well wishes and prayers for me and my family this past week, it was definitely trying at times, but we pulled through it, together.

PS - Don't forget! Today is the last day to enter the giveaway, tomorrow morning I will be choosing a winner via random.org. Good luck everyone!

Hot sweaty mess

Hey ladies -

I'm going to be out of commission for the next couple days, I have the flu :( I keep getting fevers, sweating them out, getting fevers, sweating them out...disgusting hot sweaty mess.

In any case, I just want to say I'm here, but not, and I hope you all are well!

PS - please listen to this song, it definitely put a smile on my face :)
