Thankful Thursday - Ode to Harley

Today I'm thankful for my little [almost 12 pound] fur ball.

Let me preface this by saying, I'm kind of crazy about my cat...

But I'm NOT a crazy cat lady....

I think...

Dear Harley,

It's been almost a year since you walked in and surprised me with a big blue bow around your neck. I wanted you for so long even before I met you, and Bryan knew it. He drove far and wide to find you and bring you home to me, I couldn't have been more excited. From the very beginning you've been a cuddle bug. You love curling right up next to me or Bry and staying there until one of us gets up.

You quickly adjusted to our apartment and loved exploring and playing on/through/under everything. I swear you were a dog in another life - you loved baths, you 'begged' for human food, you perk your ears up when someone comes to the door or when you hear our keys jingle. You're our little guard kitty.

You're not even one years old yet and you are already a huge mancat, what happened to the baby kitten that fit into my hand? You are fluffy and full of love still. You nip at our hands when we touch your belly, but we can't help it, we love your big belly! I hope you love our new home as much as we do, there's so many more places for you to explore!

Thank you for being the best cat I could've ever wished for. Even though you drive us up-the-wall crazy sometimes, you sit by us when we're sick, cuddle us when we're cold, and sleep right between us some nights. I'm going to go out on a limb and say you're kinda spoiled... but until we have real babies [not fur ones]

I'm ok with that :)

PS - On a much heavier note, I just wanted to take a minute and reach out my hand and heart to everyone that is grieving the loss of a dear friend today in Wasco California, including my mom and Aunt Lizzie. I love you and wish I could be there for you today. Life is too short, I don't want the moment to pass by without me saying I love and appreciate you both, and am thankful to have my life touched by you two dynamite sisters♥

This is what happenes every day when I sweep the bathroom because Harley gets his kitty litter everywhere. I hope it makes you giggle like it does me.

When Bryan and I first started dating, he bought me a $20 rose outside of a restaurant while we were waiting for our table to eat dinner. Friday night he bought me a $2 rose, it smelled and felt just as sweet.

Bryan's dad, Doug and his girlfriend Aline, are coming into town tonight, we are all SO excited to see them! He lives in Colorado right now and is in the process of moving back up here to Washington soon!

Wordless Wedding Edition Wednesday :)

WorI haven't shared too many photos from our wedding this past July, but this is one of my favorites. It was our "first look", the first time we saw each other before the ceremony. My heart was pounding so hard, but as soon as I came out of the barn, my hands stopped shaking and I was calm. The look on his face still makes me melt. This boy who I've loved for so long, standing in front of me would become my husband within the hour. <3

Wordless Wednesday

This first "Wordless Wednesday" isn't going to be so wordless, because I have to introduce you to someone who will probably make quite a few appearences on this blog!

Her name is Sophia Rose, she is our neice, pride and joy, and always always keeps us smiling!

She is such a special kid and smart "big girl" as she would insist you call her :) Until we have kids of our own, she is the one we dote on.

This particular picture was taken last week when we were shopping for her Halloween costume. Ultimately she decided on Strawberry Shortcake, but we all couldn't deny how stinkin CUTE she looked in this one! She's got that sparkle in her eyes! We just love her so much! :)
