Today's Letters Inspired Tuesday

Today's Letters: Dear recipient of my fabulous lunch making skills, I can only assume that because of this text message. Not only am I more confident in my roast beef sammich making skills, but I know that you appreciate the effort - that's even better. Dear Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows-Part 2, I start giggling like a school girl and my voice goes about eight octaves higher when I think/talk about you [or so I'm told]. I know, I may be THE biggest HP nerd ever, but I can't help it - I grew up with Harry through each book and I'm so excited to see his last quest come to life on the big screen July 15th. Whoop!  Dear Pam [checker at Walmart], I watched you chat it up with the family two turns in front of me, then with the person in front of me, then it was my turn to hear all about how your sister is naming her daughter 'Reality'. I get that you think it's an awful name, but maybe you should be giving your sister the same benefit of the doubt that I gave you. I sat and waited patiently for you to bag my groceries, and when you were finished, all I could do was smile. You obviously needed someone to talk to about this matter, I'm glad I could be of service :) Dear Bear, you are the sun to my shine, the bon to my fire, and grilled to my steak, can't wait for summer to get here so we can enjoy all of these wonderful things together, our first summer as husband and wife :) Until then, take advantage of all that X-box gaming, microphone talking, electronic male bonding in that you can, because baby, once that sun is out, we are outside. Over and out.

One of the things I want to get better at, especially approaching the summer months, is making our lunches to save money. What's something you're doing to cut costs?

PS - see the inspiration for this post and all my other Tuesday Letters - HERE!

PSS - I have been sadly neglecting "The Pollyanna Project" and my heart is taking a toll. This is me making myself accountable for looking for ONE good thing in everyone and every situation. I believe in myself.

Today's Letters Inspired Tuesday

Today's Letters: Dear WWF Champ, that would be 'Words with Friends' champ, not 'World Wrestling Federation' champ. I'm pretty sure you're the most amazing wordmaker ever. Reason #789 being your wife is awesome. Dear Xbox, listen - you're new around these parts so let's get one thing straight...I had dibbs on him first. Dear freshly mowed grass, as much as I adore you, I think you may be causing more problems than good. I'm so ready for summer, I'll give you another chance in a couple weeks, pinky promise. Dear father of my future littles, I'm pretty sure my ovaries skipped a beat when you brought Sophie in to sleep between us on Friday evening. She woke up crying, you rushed out to the living room, scooped her up, and snuggled her safely between us like a little sophie-sandwich. I know that our littles are going to feel just as content.

Has your mister ever done anything that's ever made your ovaries skip a beat?

Today's Letters Inspired Tuesday

Today's Letters: Dear Mr. Sicky, it is on a very rare occasion that you get sick and I don't. Here is to a few of grilled cheese/tomato soup eating, gatorade drinking, Price is Right watching days of you resting up and getting better. Dear Rob Dyrdek, to put it lightly, my husband loves you and may have a slight mancrush on you. Not because you have this ridiculously cool factory where you do freakin awesome things, not because your filthy rich and spend it however you please, but because he thinks you would be a genuinely 'cool dude' and friend. Dear anxiety, you've been quite under control lately which is particularly out of character for you, however I'm not complaining, I'm thankful. Dear Snuffleupagus [that nickname may stick] I love you more than Rob loves Big Black, Paula Dean loves butter, and the entire cast of 'The Hills' love drama - I'm pretty sure you should be feeling a LOT of love right now.

Does your husband have a mancrush? bromance? [Bryan's gonna hate me for saying that LOL]  basically a celebrity that he wishes he knew?

PS - See the inspiration for this post - I love the Loerke's

Happy Tuesday friends!

Today's Letters Inspired Tuesday

Today's Letters: Dear my love, on Saturday you downloaded 'Words with Friends' on my iPhone. I argued and said I wasn't good at word games, but I'm pretty proud of myself - I've kept up with you pretty good so far! Dear Grey's Anatomy music event, Shonda Rhimes, you are combing two of my FAVORITE things ever - Grey's and musicals. Bless you. Dear summer, you couldn't come fast enough. Seattle got teased on Friday with a little peek of sunshine - it was glorious. It made me even MORE excited to bask in your wonderfulness. Is that a word...? Dear Bryan James, this past weekend we talked about our future kids again. I told you I dream of what they will look like and I can't wait to feel a baby kick in my belly. I'm pretty sure positive that you are going to be such an amazing dad. Reason #345 I'm so thankful to be your wife.

Does anyone else play words with friends? Are you addicted like we are? It's a little ridiculous but totally helps build my vocabulary :)

PS - Bryan, I really really love you. Like really. Thank you for being so wonderful and making me feel like a million bucks on a daily basis.

Today's Letters Inspired Tuesday

Today's Letters: Dear Mr. Moury, I happened to catch the tail end of 'My Girl' the other day, Vada and Thomas J's first kiss makes me giggle. Remember our first kiss? You leaned in 90%, I went the final 10%, and we both saw fireworks. I knew I had just had my last first kiss. Dear Direct TV customer service, listen guys, I know it's late, I know you're weary, but there is just no excuse for your lack of commitment to excellent customer care. Two thumbs way down from the Mrs. Dear Walmart, every place we've lived in, I've had a corresponding grocery store that I would frequent [like, on a nightly basis] Since moving to the lake house, you have become my new best friend. However, you are not just an "in-n-out" kind of store. I normally go in looking for some dish soap and walk out having spent $30+.  You've cast your spell on me for sure. Dear father of my future littles, my favorite part of the weekends is being snuggled up in our pillowy down comforters between you and Harley. I think when I get to Heaven, that may be what it looks/feels like for me.

Do you have a go-to store in your neighborhood? It's definitely Target and Walmart for me! :)

Today's Letters Inspired Tuesday

Today's Letters: Dear husband, this weekend you sang FOUR songs at karaoke. I don't know what I loved more, your sweet moves, your smooooth voice, or the fact that you were brave enough to do that. And the crowd loved you, they really loved you. Dear Grandma's onion mashed potatoes, thank you ever so much for filling our home with your heavenly smell of potato-ey, cheesey, yummy goodness. Mmmmm. Dear Secret Millionaire, I spent the last fifteen minutes of the show with tears streaming down my face because my heart felt so touched. What a better place this world would be if there were more 'Secret Millionaires' willing to share their millions with the less fortunate. Dear love of my life, you worked your patootie off this weekend at home on our shower and on-call in someone else's. Can I just tell you that I love you and respect you so much for providing for us and also not complaining when you get a call at 7:30am on a Sunday for a service call. I mean really, you deserve a medal, or a cookie, or maybe a cuddle.

Does anyone else karaoke with the best of 'em like my husband? If so, holy cow, I'm impressed! :)

PS - Please see the inspiration for this post here - Tim and Em get five leg kicks and ten fist pumps for being so great!

Today's Letters Inspired Tuesday

Today's Letters: Dear sweet husband, this weekend you bowled in your first bowling tournament and it happened to be at Hooters. I thought I was in for a day full of busty women and rowdy bowling crowds. Instead I got to watch you work through your frustrations and end the first part of your brackets with pride. I know you weren't as happy as you could've been with your results, but you're still my favorite bowler [please see below]. Dear Best Ever Beef Brisket, at some point in the next couple weeks, I will conquer you. It makes my mouth water just thinking about you! Maybe it's because I've been feasting my eyes on too many episodes of Man vs. Food Carnivore Chronicles... Dear Hot Mama Handbags, I'm not yet a mama but I've had my eye on you for a looooong time. Seriously, this gal has a gift and I'm a tid bit jealous. Dear Bryan James (who always get's two letters)  thanks for letting me sleep a little extra on Saturday morning. I know when you wake up you just want to go, go, go but my eyes were not ready to be fully awake. I crawled into your side of the bed and it was nice and toasty. Reason #567 boy roommates are awesome!

Any Etsy items you've been spying on with your little eye lately?
PS - please see the inspiration for this post HERE - love this couple! & their letters!

Picture circa 2006 - my shirt says "Bryan's my favorite bowler"
still is true today :)

Today's Letters Inspired Tuesday

Today's Letters: Dear Bryan, this weekend was full of, well, a LOT! We had our first bonfire in our fire pit, enjoyed two sunny days in a row, and attended our first hockey game together. Love you more than seeing the hockey players get into fights! Dear food poisoning, I really don't appreciate your springing up on me in the middle of the night on Sunday, and I really don't appreciate your staying for as long as you have. Please evacuate ASAP. I feel like Emily on 'The Devil Wears Prada' when she says, "I'm just a stomach flu away from my goal weight." I've lost almost ten pounds since yesterday. Dear said hockey players of the Seattle Thunderbirds, I had NO idea things got that out of hand! My idea of hockey is from watching 'The Mighty Ducks' not seeing you check each other up against the plexi-glass, holy cow! Dear husband, thank you for holding me last night until I fell asleep, when I get anxiety attacks it's really hard to make them go away, but knowing that you kept your arm around me until I slipped into sleepy-land made it a little easier. I love you.

Have you ever had food poisoning? Please pray for me, I contracted [what I think is food poisoning] on Sunday night and have been in pain since :( First the flu now this? I just want a break!

PS - please see inspiration for this post HERE - they're pretty cool.

PSS - speaking of anxiety, that will be my 'Let's talk about it' post tomorrow, make sure you check back.

Today Letter's Inspired Tuesday

(flowers delivered to work yesterday by my wonderful hubby :)

Today's Letters: Dear sweet husband of mine, this past weekend we celebrated Valentine's day a little early by visiting one of our favorite Seattle restaurants and treating ourselves to a movie. I love you more than tulips in beer bottles, coke Icee's, and Christian Bale's performance in 'The Fighter' [that's a LOT!] Dear Jimmy John's, It is with deep sorrow I must say you have lost the race to Jersey Mike's - they will forever be our favorite sub sandwich shop, nothing beats a #13 with pickles and bacon. Good try though. Dear Lady Gaga's Grammy Entrance, what the what?! you have fully outweirded yourself. I get it, you want to be different, avantgarde, outrageous...but an egg? However, you must be doing something right because people are still talking about it this morning! Dear Bryan James, thanks for giving me butterflies when you come up behind me in the kitchen and put your arms around me. Ten points for a tush squeeze too!

What gives you butterflies?

PS - As always, please see inspiration for this post HERE - Tim and Em are UH-mazing <3

Past favorite Tuesday Letters include:
The one where we had ice cream and watched Jersey Shore
The one where the Seahawks shocked the state and Bryan made me a heart
The one where we found out we got the house and Bryan's bowling card

Today's Letters Inspired Tuesday

Today's Letters: Dear love muffin, this weekend I found out that Jersey Shore is one of your guilty pleasures. You said that it's pretty annoying most of the time, but also hilarious. Kind of excited to watch trashy TV with you. Dear Coldstone Creamery, you are wonderful in all your frozen creamy goodness, I just wish I would have taken lactaid before I devoured you. I guess I'll learn my lesson someday, until then, thanks for providing a yummy treat for me and the hubs :) Dear favorite Superbowl commercial, I laughed so hard I cried at this one, thank you Volkswagen. Dear father of my future littles, can I just say that I absolutely love our new house and couldn't be more happy living in it with you, than I am right now. Cheers to this coming summer, fishing off the dock, bonfires in the fire pit, and waking up to the sound of the water. Uh-mazing Craigslist hunting on your part my dear.

What was YOUR favorite Superbowl commercial?

PS - please see inspiration for this post HERE - five fist pumps for one of the coolest couples out there!

Today's Letters Inspired Tuesday

Today's Letters: Dear Bryan J. cleaning out our apartment made me inevitably clean out our Igloo coolers from 2009, which in turn made me think of going camping this summer. We missed camping last summer since we were a little busy gettin' hitched and all, but this summer will be a different story. Can't wait to smell like bug spray, roast hot dogs, and play in the sun with you. Dear Law & Order: SVU, most people stick with The Price is Right, not me. Thank you for filling my sick days on the couch with suspenseful crime stories and super attractive detectives. Christopher Meloni and Mariska Hargitay hit the genetic jackpot in the looks department! Dear Skagit Valley Tulip Festival, this year, for the first time ever, I WILL enjoy your gloriousness, and take endless pictures in your fields of beautiful fragrant tulips. Dear husband, you looked like a knight in shining armor when you came waltzing through the door with gourmet(Safeway)chicken noodle soup, saltines and popsicles-you took good care of me this time I was sick, I'll return the favor someday. Until then, the only song that seemed appropriate was this one.

I wanna make you smile whenever you're sad
Carry you around when your arthritis is bad
Oh all I wanna do is grow old with you

I'll get your medicine when your tummy aches
Build you a fire if the furnace breaks
Oh it could be so nice, growing old with you

I'll miss you
Kiss you
Give you my coat when you are cold

Need you
Feed you
Even let ya hold the remote control

So let me do the dishes in our kitchen sink
Put you to bed when you've had too much to drink
I could be the man who grows old with you
I wanna grow old with you

What does your mister do for you when you're sickly? Any special requests you have for him when he visits the store?
I gotta have Progresso chicken noodle soup and crackers - only thing I can eat when I don't feel good.

I'll be announcing the winner in my next post! Stay tuned :)

Today's Letters Inspired Tuesday

Today's Letters: Dear Husband, as much as I don't want to sometimes, going bowling with you is pretty fun. Not because of the awesome bar food, and definitely not the actual alley itself that smells like the 1970's, but when you get a strike everyone gives you a high five, I give you a kiss - get another Turkey for me, eh?  Dear Daylight's Saving Time(March 13), I don't think you could come fast enough. I left work today and it was still light out when I pulled into the parking lot, pretty amazing, just sayin. Dear Hanna's Aussie exchange student Krista, we will miss you HEAPS mate! You are just so stinkin sweet and I hope Hanna (and me!) get to visit you someday in Australia. Have a safe 16 hour flight home, and hug a koala for me! Dear love of my life, it leaves me absolutely tickled when someone asks me how long we've been married and I say six months. They nod and smile, but then I get to say, 'But we've been dating for six years' - ten points for putting up with my stinky feet, gasps in the car when I see a snow cone stand, and crying over everything for that long. Word.

What do you and/or your significant other do in your spare time? Are you on a bowling league? Do you play softball together?
I have NO coordination what-so-ever, but I find it pretty important to still go and support the hubs.

Please see my inspiration for this post HERE :)

PS - Please see my other post, I have two this morning <3

Today's Letters Inspired Tuesday

Today's Letters: Dear Mr. Moury, I'm not sure what was sweeter, watching you teach Sophie how to cut hearts out of construction paper or you handing me one that you cut out yourself. Who would have thought something from a craft kit would give me buterflies? Dear Seattle Seahawks, I've never really been a HUGE football fan, I've caught a few games here and there, however, I guess I could officially say I'm jumping on the bandwagon because that game on Saturday was uh-mazing! Hopefully you work your magic again this Sunday against Daaaa-bears. Any Chicago fans in the hizouse?! PS I wish I personally knew Pete Carroll, he's SO fun to watch during games :) Dear cream cheese filled jalapenos wrapped in bacon, I will OWN you after work - I would say be afraid, but I'm more afraid of working with raw jalapenos for the first time, this may require surgical gloves-stat. Dear father of my future children, brainstorming our future kids names always makes my heart happy. Thank you for reminding me once again that it's something that we may not be ready for yet, but it's most definitely in our future. JDM :)

Do you have a favorite finger food you serve when you have guests over? I'd LOVE if you shared the recipe :)

PS - Please see the inspiration for this post HERE - they recently won TOP BLOG on the Blog Guidebook - chickity check them out! :)

Jaimie, thank you so much :) I totally don't know if I deserve this but it's super fun being nominated. You are a sweetheart! I love your blog and wish you and Ryan the best in the coming year :)

Today's Letters Inspired-WE GOT IT!

Today's Letters: Dear Bryan James, your USBC bowling card came in the mail yesterday and reminded me once again how much I love you and think it's awesome you have so many hidden talents such as bowling. I'm pretty sure I loved this more than coke Slurpee's on a sunny summer day. Dear Icy-Hot, your minty fragrance has been filling the air in our apartment the last couple nights. Thank you for being super cold, then super hot to soothe the husband's and mine aches and pains. Is this what getting older smells like? Dear new house on a lake, do you fully understand how excited we are to live in you? PS - Thank you for all your good thoughts and prayers sent our way, WE GOT THE HOUSE! Crossing one thing off my 2011 Bucket list already :) Dear Bear (who always gets two letters), our life is about to change for the better - "Ya'll ready for this?! duh nuh nuh nuh nuh nuh" I love you more than Hermione loves Ron, more than Rob Dyrdek loves his Fantasy Factory, AND more than you love Dewars taffy from Bakersfield, CA - just in case you didn't catch on, that's A LOT of lovin going on .

Cheers for the weekend, the Seahawks in the playoff game on Saturday, and meeting my sister's Australian exchange student!

What are YOU excited for this weekend/coming week?

PS - Pretty please see the inspiration for this post HERE - Tim and Em never cease to amaze me!

XOXO

Today's Letters Inspired Tuesday

Today's Letters: Dear Mr. Moury, this past week you survived my immediate/extended/not-really-family-but we-call-each-other-family, family, picked out a gorgeous necklace for my Christmas gift, AND managed to make my heart melt my showing me once again what a great father you're going to be when you were playing with Logan? Pretty sure I found this more cute than the picture of you in your work van that your sister took and sent to me. Dear douchey guys at Applebees, as much as I despised your conversation tonight at the table next to ours, every single minute made me more and more thankful that I got one of the good ones. I hope all you gentlemen out there don't talk about your lady friends like that. Sheesh! Dear Pawn Stars & Storage Wars, I would give ten fist pumps to find the loot you do! Also, thanks for keeping me pretty entertaining in the process, you may be in the running of my favorite television shows, after the Food Network of course. Dear Bear(who always gets two letters), remember when you said I was, "the best wife you'd ever had." Even though I'm the only wife you've ever had, I still thought that was pretty sweet. Thanks for making me giggle.

Have you ever overheard a really obnoxious conversation in public that you wish you could've just butted in and said, "REALLY?! Are you listening to yourselves?!" If so, how did you stop yourself? I was having difficulty last night biting my tongue...

PS - Please see the inspiration for this post HERE - Tim and Em's blog recently got an amazing face lift if you haven't already seen it! :)

PSS - Could it be? 365 Days in Pictures is back after a long hiatus? YES! :)

Today's Letters Inspired Tuesday

Today's Letters: Dear Muffin, remember when we used to call each other that? Silly really, it started as a joke because we said how annoying it was when couples give each other pet/food names for each other. However, now every time I think of muffins, I lovingly think of you. I got you a Grinch stocking this year, I hope you like it as much as The Grinch likes to steal Christmas. Dear Hershey Kisses filled with Mint Truffle, you may be the death of me, or my teeth, either way, you are UH-mazing. Dear 68th Anual Golden Globe Nominations, I was quite pleased to find you had posted the nominations this morning. Inception and The Social Network both nominated for Best Motion Picture? Yes please! Both films were given two thumbs way up by me and the hubs. Dear Bryan James, sometimes you like to speak with a British accent, this makes me giggle until my eyes water. I mean, you're a pretty darn cute American, I can only imagine how cute you'd be as a Brit! 5 points for creative use of language to make your wife smile :)

What is your guilty pleasure Chirstmas candy are you munching on these days? Candy canes? Swirly twirly gumdrops?

Please see the inspiration for this post - HERE! This couple has inspired me to be a better wife, blogger, and person in general :)

Inspired by Today's Letters

Today's letter: Dear Mr. Moury, sometimes when you work late-scratch that, every time you work late, I miss you like crazy. Thanks for accepting pizza as a gourmet meal after working in the rain all day. Dear A capella music everywhere, you bring tears to my eyes and are truly beautiful. Dearblankpleaseblank.com, I've never belly laughed as hard as I did today reading your contents, thank you. My favorite so far has been, "Dear Saturn, I liked it, so I put a ring on it. Sincerely, God". Dear Husband, when you came home from work today you stripped in our "foyer", Harley was pretty confused, I just thought it was extremely cute. Ten points for not falling over while walking/taking your pants off - I always fall doing that.

What's your favorite "gourmet" go-to meal when your husband works late and you forgot to pick up groceries on your way home?

Inspiration? Please see Here - Tim and Em are UH-mazing :)
