Always a bridesmaid, finally a bride

Daylight's saving's time means Spring time.
Spring time means the beginning of wedding season :)

I look back at where I was in my life this time last year - and let me tell you, it was a little hectic. We had just moved into our new apartment, Bryan had just started a new job, and I was furiously still planning our wedding that was now only a few months away.

I feel like when you plan a wedding, you think, "Psh, I'll have plenty of time, no need to rush." Until it gets down to the months ahead of time and you start freaking out!
[or maybe that was just me. Hm...]

Either way, weddings are a big deal. They take a lot of planning, coordinating, schedule meshing... or at least mine did. LOL I could NOT have made it through as stressless as I did without the help of my family and brides maids. Needless to say they were amazing and crucial to me pulling off the wedding of my dreams :)

get to the point Amanda...

I'm wondering all of you single gals out there, how many times have you been a bridesmaid?
And if you are hitched, how many times were you a maid before being the bride?
Did you have any of the brides you were bridesmaids for, stand by you in your wedding? I had 2 outta 3 - not bad ;)

[Christine's wedding]

[Angela's wedding]

[Amy's wedding]

Let's just say I'm a pro at being a bridesmaid :)
I had great practice, learned a lot about planning my own future wedding along the way, and waited patiently until it was my turn.

Seriously, if you are in the process of planning a wedding, USE ME! I have so many ideas, personal touches, a wedding blog that I used to write... I'm not kidding. I got what you need! [I say that in the least dirty-mind way possible] Please let me know if I can help you in any way! :) alhutson0513@gmail.com

PS - please check out my post from this mornign, well it wasn't my post, it's a post from an AWESOME friend/fellow blogger of mine, you will fall in love with her! Click here!

  1. Definitely know that feeling of the month before, wanting to just be married so badly but also wanting like at least three more months to get everything under control! Luck you and your 1+ year to plan!!! I had five months! Okay, not luck, good planning on your part. :) Anyway, I was a bridesmaid just once before my wedding, and she was in my wedding, too. One of my bridesmaids (and best friend) is getting married in New York in September and I'll be in her wedding. The others don't have planned weddings anytime soon, but I hope I'll get to stand up there with them!!! It's so awesome to share all the different colors, foods, weather, and experiences with all my close friends. Already have 5 invitations for spring and summer weddings on my fridge right now! :) Love your stories about your wedding, plus your pictures are GORGEOUS!

  2. I've actually never been a bridesmaid but I am dying to do it. I'm sure I will have to in the next few years once my friends start getting married!

  3. Girl, I wanna see the wedding blog! I'm not planning on getting married anytime soon but I LOVE and ADORE wedding blogs, plus they always give me ideas to daydream. LOL. I have only been a bridesmaid once, my best friends aren't married yet. But it is always so fun to be a part of the madness!

  5. I also have never been a bridesmaid. None of my good friends are even close to tying the knot yet, but when the time comes you know I will be all over it. I looooooove weddings!
