# 5 Favorite holiday movie/TV show special

You have no idea how excited I was about this one! Because I couldn't just one, heck, I couldn't pick just ten, I had to pick twelve! Bryan pointed out to me that not everyone will consider some of these "Christmas" movies, however, my philosophy is if it's centered around/about Christmas, it's a Christmas movie in my books :)
I'll give the year it was released, the Wikipedia synopsis so you can check it out if you feel so inclined (Which I totally think you should, they are all awesome!!)

12. Prancer

Wikipedia: (1989) — Girl nurses a wounded reindeer.

11. The Santa Clause
Wikipedia: (1994) — When Santa falls off his roof, a harried ad exec is required to assume the mantle.

10. The Polar Express
Wiki: (2004) — A magical train takes a boy and other children who stop believing in Santa Claus up north to meet the man himself.

9. To Grandmother's House We Go
Wiki:(none on this movie, but Hello, its the Olsen twins, it's bound to be awesome :)

8. White Christmas
Wiki:(1954) — As in Holiday Inn, musicians bring Irving Berlin's lyrics to Vermont lodge.

7. Home Alone
Wiki: (1990) — Kevin accidentally gets left behind during Christmas break and defends his house against robbers.

6. A Christmas Story
Wiki: (1983) — All Ralphie wants for Christmas is a Red Ryder BB gun.

5. All I want for Christmas
Wiki: (1991) — Two kids plot to reunite their estranged parents at Christmas.

[My top four are my favorite because not only do I watch them at Christmas, but all year long]

4. The Holiday
Wiki: (2006) — Two women swap homes for the holidays and meet up with their dream men.
Me: This is such a feel good love story, with a happy ending

3. Love Actually
Wiki: (2003) — Follows the lives of eight very different couples in dealing with their love lives in various loosely and interrelated tales all set during a frantic month before Christmas in London.
Me: This movie is about love, loss, and going the distance for love. Oh, and Christmas = Excellent!

2. The Family Stone
Wiki: (2005) — Uptight woman wants acceptance from eccentric clan at Christmastime.
Me: Rachel McAdams and Sarah Jessica Parker are fabulous in this movie. I fall in love with the characters all over again every time I watch it!

1. Elf
Wiki: (2003) — A human, raised at the North Pole, searches for his family in New York
Me: This movie has produced some of the best one liners of a movie EVER! Not to mention it makes you feel like a kid in a grown up's body :)
"SANTA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
"I love smiling, smiling's my favorite"
"The best way to spread Christmas cheer is by singing loud for all to hear."

  3. Great choices! I totally agree about The Family Stone - not enough people consider it a Christmas movie! Even worse, a lot of people haven't even seen/heard of it. It's one of my all-time favorite movies in general, and one of my favorite Christmas movies!

Thanks for stopping by my blog/following. Following you back! I think I might have told you this the last time I was here, but your layout is so cute! :)
