Thankful Thursday

Another week has come and gone! It's hard to believe seeing as though I felt like I just wrote last week's TT post! Well, let's get to it!

21. My mom - My mom is one of the sweetest, most caring, compassionate, wonderful people I've ever met! She is my best friend. I love her so much I can't put it into words, she is always there for me whether it's to let me cry on her shoulder or share my stories. We talk on the phone every morning before work, most of the time we call each other just to say I love you. It was just me an my mom for a couple years before she married my step-father, and I think that's what's made our bond that much stronger. I love you mommy, I don't know what I would do without you!

22. Our Veterans - I am so thankful for the men and women who fight for our country, for my freedom. Including many of my own family members, this is a picture of my handsome papa when he was in the service. I couldn't even imagine my spouse being in an entirely different country and putting their life on the line for the United States of America. That is the most brave act I can ever think of. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

23. Bryan's bowling league - I'm so happy that Bryan is back in a bowling league. His whole family are terrific bowlers, and it's something that we can do together. I just go to be his biggest cheerleader of course :) I'm so proud of him, he's one heck of a bowler if I do say so, but I'm biased. Thanks Paul for extending the invitation to us!

24. HP7 - I don't know if you all are FULLY aware of what is happening next week?! Let me go ahead and fill you in. The first half of the 7th Harry Potter movie is being released, and I'm so excited I feel like I might do a happy dance on the 19th, and possibly wear my wizarding robes and scar on my forehead to work! :) GAH! I can't control my excitement! :) Not to mention there is a HP exhibit on display right now at the Pacific Science Center - check it out - I WILL be attending this as well :)
I might get hated on a LOT for this, but this is one of the best quotes I've ever seen!
"Harry Potter is about confronting fears, finding inner strength, and doing what is right in the face of adversity. Twilight is about how important it is to have a boyfriend."

25. Warm 106.9 - Our local "soft favorites" radio station, is now giving the option when listening online; the regular live stream, OR ALL Christmas music, ALL the time. Thank you Warm 106.9, this thoroughly helped me get through the day on Tuesday, you have no idea. :) Go here - you won't be sorry!

365 Days in Pictures - find it here :)

  1. I don't know why you'd get hated on: HP seems to be for all ages (case in point: my dad's cousin - mom of 2 - and my cousin - almost 21 - both love the series) while Twilight just seems for girls up through college.

I like the quote too, although as someone who's never had a boyfriend or been on a date, I don't think there's a problem with one. But you're right: there's more to life than that.

  2. Ok I'm more than excited for Harry Potter. Plus it's payday for me. So it's sign from god. I love that quote. However, I still like twilight. However, the books are great, the movies are lameness.

  3. moms are the bomb! mine is my best friend too. you look so beautiful in that picture with your mother!

  4. Hi there! I'm a new follower. :) Let me tell you, I love your blog. It's sooo cute and you are beautiful.

  5. Amanda love all that you are thankful for! :) Wanted to let you know I have a fun gift for you waiting on my blog :)

  6. Sarah - I just thought I would for sure catch some flack because I was "hating" on Twilight. However, it's one of my favorite quotes, I had to share it! :)

Kristina - I'm so glad you share my same feelings about HP! :)

Mrs. Murphy - moms ARE the bomb aren't they? And thank you so much for the compliment! PS I can't stop listening to your and the hubs rendition of "You and I" I'm in LOVE with that song!

Ashley - Hello there! thank you so much I love your blog as well! I can't wait to read more of your delicious looking recipes! Those brownies you made look sinful! :)

Jessie - Hey mama! I can't wait to go over and check it out! I hope you are having a fabulous day! :)

  7. Hello! You telling us about your papa reminded me of a blog I'm following called A Little Pink in a World of Camo. Her blog is so great! (sad but great!) Just thought I'd let you know!
