Thankful Thursday

Another week has come and gone! It's hard to believe seeing as though I felt like I just wrote last week's TT post! Well, let's get to it!

21. My mom - My mom is one of the sweetest, most caring, compassionate, wonderful people I've ever met! She is my best friend. I love her so much I can't put it into words, she is always there for me whether it's to let me cry on her shoulder or share my stories. We talk on the phone every morning before work, most of the time we call each other just to say I love you. It was just me an my mom for a couple years before she married my step-father, and I think that's what's made our bond that much stronger. I love you mommy, I don't know what I would do without you!

22. Our Veterans - I am so thankful for the men and women who fight for our country, for my freedom. Including many of my own family members, this is a picture of my handsome papa when he was in the service. I couldn't even imagine my spouse being in an entirely different country and putting their life on the line for the United States of America. That is the most brave act I can ever think of. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

23. Bryan's bowling league - I'm so happy that Bryan is back in a bowling league. His whole family are terrific bowlers, and it's something that we can do together. I just go to be his biggest cheerleader of course :) I'm so proud of him, he's one heck of a bowler if I do say so, but I'm biased. Thanks Paul for extending the invitation to us!

24. HP7 - I don't know if you all are FULLY aware of what is happening next week?! Let me go ahead and fill you in. The first half of the 7th Harry Potter movie is being released, and I'm so excited I feel like I might do a happy dance on the 19th, and possibly wear my wizarding robes and scar on my forehead to work! :) GAH! I can't control my excitement! :) Not to mention there is a HP exhibit on display right now at the Pacific Science Center - check it out - I WILL be attending this as well :)
I might get hated on a LOT for this, but this is one of the best quotes I've ever seen!
"Harry Potter is about confronting fears, finding inner strength, and doing what is right in the face of adversity. Twilight is about how important it is to have a boyfriend."

25. Warm 106.9 - Our local "soft favorites" radio station, is now giving the option when listening online; the regular live stream, OR ALL Christmas music, ALL the time. Thank you Warm 106.9, this thoroughly helped me get through the day on Tuesday, you have no idea. :) Go here - you won't be sorry!

  1. I don't know why you'd get hated on: HP seems to be for all ages (case in point: my dad's cousin - mom of 2 - and my cousin - almost 21 - both love the series) while Twilight just seems for girls up through college.

I like the quote too, although as someone who's never had a boyfriend or been on a date, I don't think there's a problem with one. But you're right: there's more to life than that.

  2. Ok I'm more than excited for Harry Potter. Plus it's payday for me. So it's sign from god. I love that quote. However, I still like twilight. However, the books are great, the movies are lameness.
